As we are approaching what many Americans consider easter and everyone becomes religious and goes to a church building. I've seen so much on social media and been apart of conversations with pastors across the country preparing themselves to preach about the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. As I reflected on how their preparation for this upcoming Sunday I become perplexed and struct with a holy zeal and burden. The early church mainly the apostles had one subject they preached! It was Christ and Him alone! now I'm not blinded to the fact that of course for the believer to be discipled you must speak on many things in this life, but we have often neglected teaching about the age to come. Life after this death (sleep) we as believers must go through. I remember the words of Jesus stated in

John 17:3 ESV "And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."

And the Apostle Paul words 1 Corinthians 1:23 ESV "but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles,"

The preaching of our great messiah isn't popular yet it will draw people, it isn't a great beginning of a story line we prepare for during the week to craft it to the simple and watered down minds. We must declare with boldness, confidence, holiness, and power the truth of who He is all year round and not in April when we are giving a holiday! We must help raise the platform of those who God is raising up to preach the unhindered gospel and the kingdom of God in all its power! Praise God for the preachers and teachers that have a holy conviction and that do preach these things. But woe to you who have watered down and reduced this life to a jolly Jesus who isn't aggressive and passionate.

Let us get back to preaching Him ALL YEAR LONG!!
